Frances Mohler Dance Company offers musical theater productions for two age groups (5-11 and 12-18). Our productions have included Chicago, Cats, Alice In Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Moana Jr., Grease, Beetlejuice, and Descendants among others. Up next for our age 5-11 group is Aladdin Jr. and for ages 12+ we are producing Hadestown: Teen Edition. Everyone will be cast in ensemble, if not a main character.

Our shows this season will be held at Penn State Harrisburg, Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre on February 6-8th.

FIAMMA for Stage & Screen is a new musical theatre conservatory designed for performers ages 8–18 who are ready for focused, creative training in acting and vocal performance — with the kind of structure and tools normally reserved for college-level programs.

Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within.
The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this new adaptation of the beloved story will open up “a whole new world” for your young performers!

This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.
